IMPORTANT: Garrett County experienced eight positive cases of rabies in wildlife in 2007 and four cases so far in 2008; three in raccoons and one in a skunk. Protect your pets and your family from the threat of this disease by bringing your dogs, cats and ferrets to the clinic in your area. Cost per animal - $5.00.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGES IN THE SCHEDULE: Some communities that were served in the past may not be scheduled this year due to lack of availability of veterinarians. We apologize for any inconveniences.

DOG AND CAT LICENSES CAN BE OBTAINED AT EACH CLINIC
Only pets under the control of a responsible person may be brought to the clinic. Dogs MUST be on a leash. Cats and ferrets MUST be in a cage or tightly secured box with air holes. If a cage/carrier is not available cats MUST be carried in a pillowcase or suitable cloth sack. No other animals will be vaccinated.
OFFICIAL RECOMMENDATION Puppies, Kittens & Ferrets (under 1 yr.).....Vaccinate at 3 months & revaccinate after 12 months. *Maryland State Law requires all dogs, cats & ferrets over the age of 4 months to be vaccinated against rabies.
