THURSDAY, August 7
• School Supply Bingo, Deer Park Community Building, beginning 6:30 p.m. Win school supplies at this bingo for all ages. Door prizes, snacks, and tobacco education also available for participants. Free. (301-334-2017)
FRIDAY, August 8
• Back to School Bash, Pavilion behind church on White Church Road, beginning 6:30 p.m. Gorman Go Getters host this hot dog roast and hay ride with free school supplies given to the first 30 children to arrive. Each family is asked to bring a snack and drink to share. Hay ride begins at 6:45. Free. (301-334-9763)
• Crellin “Drive-In” Movie Night, Crellin United Brethren Church Pavilion, 7 to 9 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for a movie under the stars with popcorn and a drink.
