Drug Free Communities Coalition Honors Anna Bishop
At the January meeting of the Drug Free Communities Coalition (DFCC), Anna Bishop was honored for her years of service as the Chairperson of the DFCC, formerly known as the Drug and Alcohol Council. Miss Bishop (pictured above, left) has served the community as an advocate for drug and alcohol prevention and treatment since the 1980's, serving on such committees as the Safe and Drug Free Schools Committee, Zero Tolerance for Underage Drinking Committee, Combating Underage Drinking Committee, and the Addictions Advisory Committee. She will continue to serve on the DFCC, although Kerrie Margroff (pictured above, right) from Parole and Probation has taken over as the Chair for the 2011 and 2012 calendar years. The DFCC mission is to assist in promoting treatment and prevention services to those people affected by alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse in Garrett County.
