Summer Programs Now Registering Students
The Garrett County Health Department is currently recruiting students for three different summer after school programs at various locations in Garrett County . Pre-registration is required for all programs.
Partners After School @ Kitzmiller is accepting kindergartners through eighth graders for their summer program. The group will meet at the Pavillion in the Kitzmiller Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from July 6 th through August 5th. Partners After School @ Southern Middle is recruiting middle school students entering sixth grade through eighth graders for their summer program. The group will meet at the Glades Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from July 6 th through August 5th. Partners After School@ Accident is accepting Accident Elementary School students entering third grade through kids entering sixth grade for their summer program. The group will meet at the Accident Town Park West pavilion from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from July 6 th through August 5th. All programs are free and will focus on nutrition, fitness, and retaining math and language skills. Programs will include fieldtrips and free time to play with friends, etc. Lunch will be provided. Programs are funded by Garrett County Commissioners and Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development through Garrett County Partnership for Children and Families, Inc / LMB and administered by the Garrett County Health Department.
