“Our Communities Can” is the theme for two art camps being sponsored by the Garrett County AmeriCorps team next week at the Oakland Community Center/Armory. Pictured above is Ashley Roush, AmeriCorps Member, helping Jaden Spak work on an art project at last year's camp. Junior Art Day is June 21 from 9 a.m.to12 p.m. for children ages 3-7 and 1 to 4 p.m. for 8-12 year old youth. Camp Colorful Smiles, a day camp for special needs children up to age 18 and their families, is June 23, 2010, from 9 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Parents or guardians are required to attend.
