Accident Fishing Rodeo Nets Many Participants
Looks like fish for dinner tonight. - On a recent rainy, cold Saturday morning 114 people came out to participate in the annual Fishing Rodeo held at the Accident Town Pond. “This was one of the better rodeos ever!” said Sharon Custer, Outreach Worker at the Garrett County Health Department. “Weather didn't seem to stop the individuals who attended. Everyone was catching fishing and enjoying family time together.” Pictured above with their catch of the day are Mackenzie (left) and Abby Weimer from Accident. The event was sponsored by the Accident Community Planning Group and the Wild Turkey Federation. Activities of community planning groups are supported in part by funds from the Garrett County Health Department to promote healthy living and prevent risky behaviors.
