News Release For Immediate Release: April 6, 2010 Contact Person: Diane Lee, PIO, 301-334-7730 Colorectal Cancer Coalition Meets More than 90% of colorectal cancer is found in people ages 50 years and over. The Garrett County Health Department urges people ages 50 years and over or those who are under 50 years and have personal or family health conditions that increase their chances of getting colorectal cancer to contact their doctors for colorectal cancer testing. Shown above during the annual meeting of the Garrett County Cancer Coalition on March 25, 2010, are members of the coalition holding a proclamation from the Governor declaring March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in Maryland .
