Despite very cold temperatures, hundreds of Garrett County youth took advantage of the For the seventh year in a row the Garrett County Health Department is hosting a night of free snow tubing for Garrett County youth from 6th grade through 20 years of age. This “ Play Hard. Live Clean.” event is scheduled for Monday, March 22, 2010, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Bear Claw Snow Tubing Park at Wisp Resort. Registration forms are available at county public middle and high schools, can be accessed throught the link at the end of this article, or may be picked up in Room 206 of the Garrett County Health Department. Registration forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. Deadlines for returned registration vary by school; forms will be collected in Room 206 of the Health Department until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16th or until registration limit is reached. “Play Hard. Live Clean.” is a campaign to discourage underage drinking, tobacco, and drug use and to promote positive lifestyles. It is sponsored by the Garrett County Combating Underage Drinking Committee through a grant from the Governor's Office for Children through the Garrett County Partnership for Children and Families, Inc. / Local Management Board and the Garrett County Health Department with support from the Wisp.
