Crellin Elementary School Students
Participate in Tobacco Prevention Poster Contest

Crellin Elementary School students recently participated in Tobacco Prevention Poster Contest. Students were asked to create original artwork with crayons, markers, paints or pencils to illustrate one of the following themes for their poster:

A Tobacco “Reality” Advertisement
Promote “Kick Butts Day” (March 24 th ).
I've Got Better Things to do than Smoke
I Have the Power to be Smoke-Free

Posters were judged on content, accuracy and how well the message was illustrated.

First Place Winners were Landon Powers, Kindergarten; Taylor Ashby, First Grade; Ethan Ray, Second Grade; Cassy Baker, Third Grade; Heather Frick, Fourth Grade; and Alex Butina, Fifth Grade.

Second Place Winners were Tyler Ray, Kindergarten; Lacy Miller, First Grade; Trenton Tasker, Second Grade; Aaron Graham, Third Grade; Georgi Powers, Fourth Grade; and Alexis Spiker, Fifth Grade

All winning posters are displayed on the Garrett County Health Department's website at www.garretthealth.org .
