Kitzmiller Biggest Loser Participants Lose 317 Pounds

A total of 42 residents from the Kitzmiller area participated in the Biggest Loser Challenge, logging nearly 4,000 miles and dropping 317 pounds. The 12-week program tracked exercise and weight loss for 14 teams composed of 3-members each.
The First Place team called themselves the “Over the Hill Gang” and included Roger K. Welch, Lyndol Shillingbury, Marcy Lucas. Each member received $75 as a reward for their combined totals of 50.5 pounds lost and 755 miles walked.
The “Old Hens” team, which included Shirley Anderson, Helen Crouse and Thelma Lacy, came in Second Place and received $25 each. Taking Third Place was the “JAGS” team made up of Jeannie Tichinel, Betty Carr, Angie Guthrie, who each received a Biggest Loser Cookbook.
The program was sponsored the Kitzmiller Empowerment Group and the Garrett County Health Department.
