H1N1 Appointments Available at Health Department

Persons who are in the priority groups for receiving H1N1 vaccinations will have several chances to get vaccinated in the next two weeks.

The Garrett County Health Department is currently scheduling appointments for H1N1 vaccinations at their office in Oakland , for Monday, November 30, from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

In addition, clinics for all priority groups will be held at the Oakland office on Thursday, December 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and at the Grantsville office on Friday, December 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

These vaccination opportunities are for all priority groups, which include:

•  Pregnant Women

•  Children 6 months through 24 years of age

•  Adults 25 through 64 years of age with underlying medical problems such as asthma, diabetes, blood disorders, cardiac problems, etc.

•  Healthcare workers

•  Household caregivers of children less than 6 months of age
