Grantsville Involvement Group Breast Cancer Awareness Tea
The Grantsville Involvement Group (G.I.G.) recently held a Breast Cancer Awareness Tea at the Grantsville Senior Center. The guest speaker was Donna Saylor from Salisbury, Pennsylvania, who is a 5-year breast cancer survivor. Pictured above from left to right are GIG member Heather Christner, Patty Champlin, Daniel and Tosha Schmidt, and Donna Saylor. To volunteer with G.I.G. call Sharon Menges at 301-895-3111 extension 6528 or come to the meeting on December 1, 2009, at 6 p.m. at the Grantsville Town Hall . Everyone is welcome. Service learning hours are available for high school students. Activities of G.I.G. are supported in part by funds from the Garrett County Health Department to promote healthy living and prevent risky behaviors.
