Beach Blast 2008 Scheduled for June 12
The 5 th annual "Play Hard, Live Clean" Beach Blast is scheduled for June 12 th at Deep Creek Lake State Park. This free event is open to Garrett County residents completing 6th grade through age 20.

The Beach Blast will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. All activities are free and available only to participants who are registered with a completed registration form, including parent signature. A $3 per person park admission fee applies, unless a Beach Blast flyer is displayed in the vehicle's front window. Registration forms are available below, or may be picked up and dropped off at the Garrett County Health Department Room 206.
"Our goal is to continue to provide entertainment for local youth in an environment free of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs," said Beach Blast organizer Venessa Stacy of the Garrett County Health Department.
This year's Beach Blast will include music by Sounds Fun Entertainment, boating on Deep Creek Lake with Wisp Outdoors, kayaking with High Mountain Sports, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, food, and games with prizes. Teams interested in participating in the basketball tournament should sign up at 1 p.m. at the park.
