Elementary Art Camp Scheduled

All Garrett County elementary school students are invited to attend a free Art Camp provided by the Garrett County AmeriCorps members. Students may register for one of the three sessions which are being held at the Oakland Community Center/Armory. The first session, called Camp Colorful Smiles, will be held on June 23 rd from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is specially designed for children with disabilities (ages 1-16) and their families. The other two sessions are part of Junior Art Day, which will be held on June 24 th . The morning session, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, is for children ages 3 to 7, and the afternoon session, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, is for children ages 8 to 12. Some of the activities will include finger painting, picture frame making, trick photography, scrapbooking, jewelry designing, stuffed animal construction, and rhythm and drumming.
