Getting Healthy at First United Bank and Trust
Employees at First United Bank and Trust will have the benefit of a fitness room at their worksite as a result of the company's ongoing wellness efforts. In partnership with the Garrett County Health Department, First United made numerous nutrition and physical activity opportunities available to its employees over the last year with the fitness room being the most recent. Through a one year Worksite Healthy Eating and Physical Activity grant from the MD Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, health department staff partnered with three Garrett County worksites to develop and implement nutrition and physical activity programs. The other two worksites were Fechheimer Shirt Factory and Goodwill Mennonite Home, Inc.
