The interactive telehealth system is also available to provide healthcare advice and oversight from Home Health nurses. Nurses who work in the Personal Health Clinic areas are extremely versatile and knowledgeable in all areas of health care. Services range from well baby immunization care to arranging payment for services for older citizens, such as the Breast & Cervical Cancer Program and Maryland Primary Care. Scheduled clinics include Family Planning, Child & Adult Immunization, STD & HIV clinics. HFGC helps parents to be their child's best and first teacher during those crucial first years of life when brain development is most rapid. Research shows that children whose families have been involved in Healthy Families or a similar program are better prepared and have greater success in school. Healthy Families helps parents with all kinds of concerns; nutrition and breastfeeding support, recognizing baby's cues and responding to those needs, keeping children safe indoors and out, development and others.
