|
The Grantsville Involvement Group sold memorial hearts to raise money for the Grantsville Voluntary Fire Department for their new building. The group was able to give the Fire Department $445.00. The hearts were attached to the fence on Main Street in Grantsville for everyone to see. Pictured above are a few of the people involved in organizing the project, included left to right, are Renee Bittinger; Sharon Menges, Garrett County Health Department; Duane Stein, fire department chief; Charity Platter; and Lisa Harvey. "The Fire Department asked me to thank all the business and community members who donated their space and resources to make this project work," said Sharon Menges. "As a community we wanted to help the Fire Department with this project in return for all they do for the community." For information about Grantsville Involvement Group call Sharon Menges at 301-334-7730 or 301-895-3111.
