More than 300 Garrett County youth took advantage of the "Play Hard. Live Clean." kick-off event at the Bear Claw Snow Tubing Park last January. For the second year in a row the Wisp Deep Creek Mountain Resort is sponsoring a night of free tubing for Garrett County youth from middle school through 20 years of age. This " Play Hard. Live Clean." event is scheduled for Monday, January 31, 2005, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. A free drink and a slice of pizza will be offered to the youth in attendance. Registration forms must be signed by a parent or guardian and will be distributed at the county middle and high schools or can be picked up at the health department beginning January 19, 2005. Click Here for tubing forms. "Play Hard. Live Clean." is a campaign to discourage underage drinking and to promote positive lifestyles. It is sponsored the by the Garrett County Combating Underage Drinking Committee through a grant from the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention through the Garrett County Partnership for Children and Families, Inc. / Local Management Board and the Garrett County Health Department.
